Consultation and Assessment
The initial consultation is an all-inclusive, in-depth evaluation of an individual’s current and past history, including prior treatment, precipitating and perpetuating factors, and psychological aspects of the presenting condition. The comprehensive assessment guides the treatment plan that typically includes medications and psychotherapeutic interventions.
The Treatment Center is targeted in particular to individuals or their treating physicians who have concerns about the accuracy of their diagnoses, their level of response to current treatments, side effects or inadequate functional recovery.
Our goals include providing each individual patient with:
- a comprehensive diagnostic assessment
- a detailed medication review and formulation, with an evidence-based treatment plan
- recommendations on psychosocial interventions
- education regarding their illness and the full range of available and effective treatments
