McKay Community & Career Committee
The Community and Career Committee (CCC) of McKay is a group of faculty, post-docs, graduate students, and staff committed to fostering the collaborative and collegial environment of the McKay Labs and to supporting McKay Lab members development and career advancement. The CCC aims to facilitate the building of communities within and across McKay through organization, resources, feedback, and education, and aims to provide sponsorship, education, and support for McKay Lab members as they advance their careers and/or transition to new career opportunities.
Our committee continuously asks itself the following questions to support its mission:
- How can we support the development of genuine, inclusive community within McKay?
- How do we ensure that all members are welcomed into the community and supported to thrive in their positions?
- How can we provide resources and education to facilitate the career advancement of McKay Lab members?
- How can we, beyond mentorship and education, facilitate sponsorship of McKay lab members, to accelerate their career advancement?
