“The Intersection of DNA Repair Syndromes and Regenerative Failures.”
The Penn Center for Genome Integrity (PCGI) seeks to integrate cutting edge research in basic and clinical sciences from several key disciplines in order to advance our fundamental understanding of genome integrity and its contributions to human biology. The Institute for Regenerative Medicine (IRM) is a community of experts working to create a future where diseases are cured with cellular solutions. The IRM mission is to understand how cells and tissues are formed and to apply that knowledge to next generation diagnostics and therapies. Both Centers include basic and clinical investigators from across the University of Pennsylvania campus including the Perelman School of Medicine, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, School of Veterinary Medicine, as well as multiple Departments and graduate programs.
These two Centers have joined to host a mini joint symposium on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 titled “The Intersection of DNA Repair Syndromes and Regenerative Failures.” Featuring talks by Ted Dawson (Johns Hopkins), Lin Guo (Jefferson University), Anna Pluciennik (Jefferson University), Jennifer Phillips-Cremins (UPenn Faculty), Foteini Mourkioti (Upenn Faculty), Hongjun Song (UPenn Faculty), and Jonathan Miner (UPenn Faculty).
More information can be found on the IRM webpage.
