Reminder: DART Windows Computer Patching - May 2nd, 2023
On May 2nd, 2023 at 11pm, Penn Medicine Academic Computing Services (PMACS/DART) will continue patching supported Windows computers.
What do I need to do?
- Please remember to save and close any opened documents on your computers before patching starts. Your computer will automatically restart and any documents open could be lost.
- Leave your computer on.
Primary Patch Day/Time
Windows computers will be patched and restarted at 11pm on the first Tuesday of each month.
Substitute Patch Day/Time
We will be offering a substitute patch day to accommodate users who cannot have their computers restarted on the first Tuesday of a month. Please fill out the form to be placed on the substitute patch day for the upcoming month (must be submitted by 4/28/2023). Note: Updates will fall back to the primary patch day for the following month.

Equipment Control Machines (ECM)
Computers that control scientific equipment will be exempt from regular patches. If you would like to ensure your DART-supported ECM is exempt or included from regular patches please submit a ticket.
As always, please submit a ticket if you are having problems with your computer after a patch day or if you have question/concerns about an upcoming patch.
