Our Founding Donor

micheal r armellinoMichael R. Armellino, W’61, made a gift to establish the Armellino Center of Excellence for Williams Syndrome in 2022.  Mr. Armellino, a longtime resident of New Jersey who is retired after a long career at Goldman Sachs, has three sons and seven grandchildren. Mike earned an MBA from New York University. His partner, Beverly Karch, has a granddaughter, Maelyn, who is living with Williams syndrome.  Mike was inspired to make a gift that creates a bright future for individuals living with Williams syndrome and establish a home for those touched by the condition.  Prior to the establishment of the Center, CHOP was already home to one of the largest clinics caring for pediatric patients with Williams syndrome in the country. The Armellino family’s generous infusion of resources provides a place for pediatric patients to transition their care as they mature into adults, and adults to turn to for a collaborative team who is familiar with their needs.
