Description of Research Expertise

Dr. Pamela Weiss's research focus includes pharmacoepidemiology and outcomes research in pediatric juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) and juvenile spondyloarthritis. She has advanced training in clinical epidemiology and biostatistics through the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics master’s degree program. Her research goals are to 1) improve the diagnosis of pediatric spondyloarthritis (which includes both enthesitis-related arthritis and psoriatic arthritis); 2) better define the disease activity of children with spondyloarthritis; 3) develop treatment strategies for children with spondyloarthritis that improve both clinical and patient-reported outcomes.
