Description of Clinical Expertise

Dr. Brody is board certified in otolaryngology - head & neck surgery with additional fellowship training in head and neck oncology and microvascular reconstructive surgery. He provides the full spectrum of head and neck cancer care ranging from mucosal and cutaneous malignancies to endocrine and salivary gland malignancies. He has additional expertise in the management complex head and neck lesions due to infection, trauma, and other benign conditions including congenital neck masses.

Dr. Brody has extensive training in transoral robotic surgery (TORS), laryngeal preservation surgery, and microvascular reconstructive surgery with a specific interest in dental restoration.

Description of Research Expertise

Dr. Brody is a head and neck surgical oncologist and microvascular reconstructive surgeon with additional training in clinical epidemiology and biostatistics. He has experience in the analysis of population level national datasets. He has an interest database management and architecture and has overseen the creation of institutional clinical outcomes databases looking at multiple survival metrics as well as patient repoted outcomes.

Dr. Brody's clinical research primarily centers around the management of HPV-associated oropharyngeal cancer with a specific emphasis on transoral robotic surgery (TORS)

Dr. Brody's translational research interests are centered around comparing differences in gene expression and the tumor microenvironment to predict treatment responses.

Dr. Brody has additional interests in novel technologies including augmented reality and machine learning in the surgical setting.
