Description of Clinical Expertise

I am an outpatient internist with prior experience in several specific populations: women health issues; patients with HIV; and refugees. I have a special interest in vulnerable populations and population health initiatives.

I both see patients and precept internal medicine residents in my clinic.

Description of Research Expertise

At University of Pennsylvania I work both as a primary care provider with patients and also work in population health management examining quality metrics with specific interest in health care models and care management initiatives.

My previous research work at MGH examined HIV quality metrics, non-communicable disease screening, and Hypertension and Diabetes control in different primary care models for patients with HIV. I also examined trends of obesity, hypertension, and diabetes in refugees after relocation to the US.
