Description of Clinical Expertise

William “Jake” Brownell, DPM, MA, FACFAS, FACPM, FAMOS Dr. Brownell is double board certified in Foot and Ankle Reconstructive Surgery and serves as an Assistant Professor of Surgery with the Division of Plastic Surgery and Podiatry. Dr. Brownell is a past fellowship graduate of the Penn Lower Extremity Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship and currently serves as the Fellowship Program Director. His expertise includes Orthoplastic and limb-preservation reconstruction, minimally invasive surgery, peripheral nerve reconstruction, trauma, joint replacement, and foot and ankle reconstructive surgery. He is section-editor in diabetic lower extremity limb-preservation for the Journal of Orthoplastic Limb Preservation.
