• Development of an artificial placenta• Pumpless extracorporeal membrane oxygenation in congenital diaphragmatic hernia
• Glycosylation defects in cancer
• Signal transduction pathways regulating glycosylation
• Immunomodulatory activities of GnT-V
• Expression of fetuin, a serum glycoprotein, in human and murine colon cancers
• Role of fetuin as a competitive inhibitor of TGF- signalling through SMAD proteins
• Immunomodulatory activities of TGF-1 and fetuin in a mouse model of septic shock
• Study of mammalian Core 2 GlcNAc-transferase enzyme homologues in C. elegans
• By RT-PCR, sub cloning and sequencing, identified transcripts, conserved residues and splice junctions for all six genes
• Carried out expression cloning of one homologue and subsequent enzyme activity assays
• Regulation of biosynthesis of juvenile hormone (JH) by the neuropeptide allatostatin
• Regulation of development and metamorphosis of Diploptera punctata by allatostatin
