Description of Research Expertise
Research Interests. My Research is focused on development of Sigma 2 Receptor/TMEM97 PET imaging probes, characterizing the function of the Sigma 2 Receptor/TMEM97 through functional cell assays to identify its role in lipid uptake such as LDL and ApoE, and the role that it plays in breast cancer and neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's Disease and Parkinson's Disease. Keywords: Sigma 2 Receptor, TMEM97, alpha synuclein, breast cancer, neurodegeneration, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, lipids, PET radio tracer development
