Description of Clinical Expertise

I am trained in both critical care medicine and nephrology and have special expertise in clinical disorders that lie at the intersection of these two fields including: acid-base disorders, acute kidney injury, dialysis, continuous modes of dialysis (e.g. PD, CVVH, CVVHD, CVVHDF), chronic kidney disease, electrolyte disorders, sepsis, septic shock, cardiogenic shock, cardiorenal syndrome, hepatorenal syndrome, respiratory failure, non-invasive mechanical ventilation, invasive mechanical ventilation, point-of-care ultrasonography, and bedside procedures. I also have interest other diseases related to chronic kidney disease including: hypertension, home dialysis, nephrolithiasis, diabetic kidney disease, and glomerulonephritis.
