Description of Clinical Expertise

My current role is as an attending physician on the Pediatric Advanced Care Team (PACT) at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Our inter-disciplinary team provides pediatric palliative care consultations for patients facing pain, nausea, insomnia, and other symptoms secondary to serious, life-limiting disease or its treatments. We also assist in facilitating patient-provider communication, including goals of care discussions. In addition, our team provides out-patient pediatric palliative care clinic support focusing on the biopsychosocial evaluation and multidisciplinary management of pain and symptoms associated with serious illness. Lastly, we serve the needs of CHOP pediatric patients on home hospice in the community.
