Description of Clinical Expertise

My clinical interest is in acute kidney injury, glomerular diseases and electrolyte disorders caused by cancer and cancer therapies including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and CAR-T cell therapy.

Description of Research Expertise

Dr. Shaikh's research focuses on understanding and managing kidney complications in patients with cancer and those receiving cancer therapies. Dr. Shaikh is a member of the American Society of OncoNephrology Research Committee. She is a Councilor of the American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology (ASDIN) and was the co-chair of the ASDIN Training and Workforce Committee. She is also a member of the American Society of Nephrology Transforming Dialysis Access Together (TDAT) Initiative.
