10 Week online small group Consultation for DBT Skills Training

Join a group of up to 5 clinicians to present cases and receive feedback, consultation, and support from an experienced DBT skills trainer!
This is a limited opportunity, first come first serve.
What is Group Consultation?
Group consultation consists of 10 weekly 90-minute virtual meetings with up to 5 clinicians who are seeking case consultation on patients who might benefit from individual DBT skills training. Participants will participate in short didactic review of DBT skills, case discussion, and troubleshooting DBT skills training/use with individual clients.
Who may attend?
DBT Skills Training consultation is open to licensed clinicians. Unlicensed individuals are also able to participate provided they are practicing under a supervisor’s license. Participants may be beginners or more advanced practitioners of exposure therapy.
When will Discover DBT Skills Training Consultation take place?
Fridays from 2:00-3:30pm EST virtually.
Each period of consultation runs for 10 weeks. This session includes:

Who will facilitate Discover DBT Skills Training Consultation?
1098Hannah Sonnier, MS, LCSW (she/her or they/them) is an Outpatient Psychiatry Center Staff Psychotherapist. They received their Master’s in Social Work at the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Policy and Practice in 2019 and their Master’s in Medical Sciences from the University of Kentucky in 2016. They are currently the Interim Manager of the Penn Medicine Dialectical Behavior Therapy Program.
Hannah received intensive training and supervision in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) from Linehan Board Certified clinicians and is a member of the OPC DBT consultation team. They have provided DBT and DBT-informed therapy to support high-risk adolescents and adults in inpatient and outpatient settings to develop and strengthen distress tolerance, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness skill sets. They are passionate about helping patients build lives worth living regardless of diagnosis, trauma history, or systemic barriers. They believe in providing evidenced-based interventions that meet patients where they are at and promote self-directed growth, lasting behavioral change, and a strengthened trust in yourself and your abilities.
In January 2024, Hannah co-led a workshop with Dr. Lily Assaad titled “Approaching Borderline Personality Disorder in Treatment: How to Shift Your Perspective and Apply Evidence-Based Interventions.” This new Discover DBT workshop series and consultation group highlights their desire to increase accessibility to DBT concepts and skills, thereby improving provider confidence and patient outcomes across all scopes of practice.
How much will Discover DBT Skills Training Consultation cost?
$500 USD per person for the package of 10 consultation groups.
CE Learning Objectives
At the end of the 10 weekly consultation sessions (90 minutes each), participants will:

Identify patients who may benefit from informal DBT skills training

Mindfulness: Describe the DBT Mindfulness concepts of wise mind, what, and how skills to a patient

Mindfulness: Implement DBT Mindfulness skills training with a patient

Mindfulness: Lead a patient in specific, goal-directed mindfulness exercises

Mindfulness: Use DBT Mindfulness skills language when presenting patients for case discussion
This program provides 7.5 hours of CE credits for Part I (the first 5 groups) and for Part 2 (the last 5 groups). Those who attend all sessions in their entirety receive fifteen (15) CE credits for the 10 sessions in addition to four (4) hours of CE credits for the Discover DBT Skills Training Workshop (if attended).
Full attendance with video display is required to obtain CE credit for this program. APA guidelines do not permit PBTA to issue partial CE credits. No refunds are provided for CE programs. No exceptions allowed.
