Dr. Marty Levinson: A Family's Personal and Professional Journey with Williams Syndrome

December 17, 2024 – The Armellino Center of Excellence for Williams Syndrome hosted another  PACES event, featuring Dr. Marty Levinson, a pediatrician from suburban Detroit and a dedicated member of the WS community. Dr. Levinson was joined by his son Josh, age 45, who has Williams syndrome, and his wife Elise, a social worker and retired paraeducator, for a talk on "A Family's Personal and Professional Journey with Williams Syndrome." Together, they shared their deeply personal and professional experiences of living with and addressing the challenges of Williams Syndrome over the years. Their presentation offered a unique perspective, seamlessly blending medical expertise with firsthand family insight.

About The Speakers

Dr. Marty Levinson is a pediatrician in suburban Detroit.  His son, Josh, with WS, oldest of 4 sons, forced him to develop expertise in medical care of WS patients. Dr. Levinson has been actively involved with the WSA since its inception, is a regular presenter at the WS conferences and at professional conferences around the country.   Dr. Levinson is also on the advisory board for the Armellino Center of Excellence for Williams Syndrome. ​With his son, Josh, and his wife Elise, a social worker and retired paraeducator, they presented on their professional and personal experience living with and addressing the issues of WS over the decades.
