November 14, 2024 – The Armellino Center for Williams Syndrome, in collaboration with the Williams Syndrome Association and CReWS, hosted a virtual seminar titled Hormone Hubbub: A Discussion of Puberty in Williams Syndrome. About The Speakers

 

 Dr. Vaneeta Bamba is a pediatric endocrinologist at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Bamba is also the Medical Director of the Diagnostic and Research Growth Center and Director of the Turner Syndrome Program at CHOP. Although she became formally affiliated with the Armellino Center of Excellence for Williams Syndrome at CHOP and Penn in 2023, Dr. Bamba has been partnering with the Genetics team at CHOP since 2008, caring for many children with other genetic disorders including Turner syndrome, 22q11.2 Deletion syndrome, Trisomy 21, and others. Her area of expertise includes disorders of growth and puberty in children and adolescents. She is looking forward to talking with you more about puberty in WS! 

 

 

Dr. Hilary Seeley is a pediatric endocrinologist at Stanford Children’s Health and Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Endocrinology & Diabetes at Stanford University School of Medicine.  She is the medical co-director of the Children’s Thyroid Center and the Differences of Sex Development Clinic at Stanford.  She has authored multiple research studies and book chapters. But most importantly - Dr. Seeley serves as the endocrinologist at the Cardiovascular Connective Tissue Disorders program for patients with WS at Stanford.
