Description of Clinical Expertise
Dr. Lee is an award-winning physician-scientist who specializes in breast cancer care and is nationally recognized for her work in advancing equity in health care. In her clinical practice, she supports individuals and families facing breast cancer with compassion, precision, and the latest treatment strategies.Description of Research Expertise
Dr. Lee's research focus lies at the intersection of epidemiology, health services research, and implementation science, where she investigates modifiable biological, clinical, and health care-related factors that contribute to disparities in breast cancer survival. She leverages her expertise in analyzing large-scale databases to gain deeper insights into disparities in cancer care delivery. Furthermore, she conducts mixed methods research to intimately understand the intricate interplay of patient and provider factors that influence breast cancer care. She ultimately aims to develop and test interventions to address barriers to equitable care, working towards improved outcomes for women with breast cancer. With numerous publications in national and international medical journals and recognition from peers and professional organizations, Dr. Lee brings both scientific rigor and human-centered care to everything she does. She is passionate about turning research into real-world solutions that improve lives, reduce inequities, and build a more just health care system.Selected Publications
