Areas of special interest:

Jianing is interested in genomic analysis for human and animal genetic disorder. She is currently working on single cell RNA sequencing project on white adipose tissue from GNAS knockout animal model. She is also working on part of the FOP project, using microCT (micro-computed tomography) analysis to study the effect of the ACVR1 gene mutation on the microstructure of tibia and fibula of mice. Jianing also has strong interests in animal welfare, pathology and comparative medicine, with a plan to pursue a career in laboratory animal medicine after graduation.
