Hoppy's Hope to End Huntington's Disease Annual Fundraising Dinner 2019
Hoppy’s Hope to End Huntington's Disease is a non-profit 501 organization founded for the purpose of raising awareness and funds to lend financial support to organizations dedicated to finding treatments and ultimately, a cure for HD. This charitable event and organization raises money that directly goes to the Dr. Beverly L. Davidson Lab at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and to the Huntington's Disease Center at the University of Pennsylvania. Clinic director Dr. Pedro Gonzalez-Alegre served as the keynote speaker for the event.

Hoppy’s Hope to End Huntington's Disease is a non-profit 501 organization founded for the purpose of raising awareness and funds to lend financial support to organizations dedicated to finding treatments and ultimately, a cure for HD. Hoppy's Hope to End Huntington's 2016 was held on June 9th at the Philadelphia Country Club. The event and organization raised $40,000 to support HD research, $20,000 of which was donated to our HD Center. Clinic director Dr. Pedro Gonzalez-Alegre served as the keynote speaker for the event.
Penn's 1st Symposium on Huntington's Disease for Patients and Caregivers 2016
The Huntington's Disease Center at Pennsylvania Hospital hosted the free symposium on April 8th, 2016. The symposium's purpose was to educate and inform patients and caregivers affected by Huntington's Disease and to highlight the University of Pennsylvania Huntington's Disease Clinic. Keynote speaker, Dr. Beverly Davidson, Chief Scientific Strategy Officer (CSSO) at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, as well as the director of the Raymond G. Perelman Center for Cellular and Molecular Therapeutics, spoke about advances in Huntington's Disease research. Additional speakers presented information about genetic counseling, therapies, psychiatric care, neuropsychology, cognitive testing, and social work support.
