Annual Retreat

2025 IGG Retreat Recap

The 38th Annual Immunology Graduate Group (IGG) Retreat took place on October 16–17, 2025, in Atlantic City, New Jersey. A long-standing IGG tradition, the retreat brings together trainees, faculty, alumni, and invited speakers for two days of scientific exchange and community connection. Over meals, student presentations, poster sessions, and social gatherings, participants shared their research, forged new collaborations, and celebrated the vibrant IGG community.

This year’s keynote address was delivered by David A. Hildeman, PhD of the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. The retreat also featured a lively alumni career panel with Michael C. Abt, PhD, Dawson Knoblock, PhD, Jason Stadanlick, PhD, and Ellen de Obaldia, PhD, who shared insights from their professional paths and offered valuable advice to current trainees navigating their next steps.

As part of an annual tradition, IGG recognized outstanding scientific contributions through its retreat awards.

  • Best Poster (tie): Jeremy Morrissette (Canna Lab) and Sophie Gray-Gaillard (Wherry Lab)
