NGG Live!

Join us for NGG Live! on October 12 at 5:30pm, ET. This is an opportunity to learn more about NGG and the admissions process. There will also be time for you to ask us questions. The event will take place in-person and online. For more details and to register for the event, click here.

What is NGG Live?

NGG Live! is an annual information session, typically held in October, that provides an overview of our program and our admissions process and gives prospective applicants the opportunity to ask questions of our faculty and students. Topics we cover include:

  • What will I get out of a PhD?

  • Am I ready to apply?

  • What makes a successful applicant?

  • What classes should I take as an undergrad?

  • How do I get more research experience?

Who participates in NGG Live?
  • NGG Chair Joshua Gold, who will describe our program's structure and requirements.

  • NGG Co-Chairs of Admissions Judy Grinspan and Heath Schmidt, who will explain our admissions process.

  • NGG's Student Outreach Group, GLIA, whose members will tell you all about the things you can take advantage of outside of the lab.

  • Current NGG students, who will share their experiences at Penn and the path they took to get here.

Not in Philly?  Not a Problem!

NGG Live is live-streamed, and virtual participants can ask questions too! If you can't make it in person or online, the presentation and questions will be recorded and posted here.
