Jesse K. Placone, Ph.D.
Dr. Jesse K. Placone is an Associate Professor in the Biomedical Engineering Department at West Chester University. Dr. Placone received his Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University in Materials Science and Engineering and did postdoctoral research at the University of Maryland, College Park with Dr. John P. Fisher, and at the University of California, San Diego with Dr. Adam Engler. His research interests focus on the intersection of biophysics, cellular biomechanics, and tissue engineering to understand how mechanical and other cues influence cell behavior and tissue development.
