Description of Research Expertise

My research interest consists of acquisition and quantification strategies focused on the study of brain metabolites in vivo in humans (in disease state such as Epilepsy, Schizophrenia and in acute drug studies) by MR spectroscopy and CEST MRI. I have been the lead MR scientist for several clinical research projects involving the spectroscopic and CEST acquisitions as well as analysis of the data acquired from 7T Siemens MRI scanner. I would like to use the experience I have gained over the years on these newly developed MRI contrast techniques along with MR spectroscopy to study the metabolism and to capture the early detection and therapeutic monitoring of neurodegenerative diseases/neurological disorders.
