Masking at PSOM

03/24/22

Dear Colleagues,

In a recent University communication, it was noted that masking will not be required in classrooms starting on Monday.

I would like to provide some clarification on expectations around masking in our PSOM spaces.  As we continue to watch closely the trends in positivity regionally, nationally, and internationally; as many people return from travels for spring break; and as we learn more about the BA.2 variant, the PSOM community will continue to adhere to our present policy until further notice:

  • Masking remains optional in our research spaces.
  • Masking remains a requirement in:
    • Clinical spaces.
    • The Jordan Medical Education Center.
    • Academic and research meetings of more than 20 people.

We are committed to providing the safest and most respectful environment for all who walk our classrooms, laboratories, clinics, and halls.  Thank you for your continued support.

Be well,

Jon
