Position: Post-Doctoral Research Fellows
We seek highly motivated and enthusiastic post-doctoral research fellows (Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. candidates, 3 available positions) for studies of hypoxia and mitochondrial metabolism in skeletal development, disease and regeneration as members of Dr. Ernestina Schipani Laboratory at McKay Laboratories-University of Pennsylvania/Department of Orthopedic Surgery.
The successful candidates will be mentored and have the opportunity to interact with a large group of basic and translational researchers. They will use various cutting-edge and state-of-art in vivo and in vitro techniques for the analyses of skeletal phenotypes, including single-cell RNA sequencing and metabolomics.
Candidates need to have strong expertise in cellular and molecular biology, mouse work, and a great enthusiasm for science. The applicants have to design and conduct experiments, prepare and present the work at meetings, write scientific manuscripts, and speak fluently in English.
Please submit a letter of interest, CV, one copy of any relevant publication, and names/address of three references to Dr. Ernestina Schipani at Ernestina.Schipani@Pennmedicine.upenn.edu
