Areas of Special Interest

Greg joined the lab in the spring of 2009 as an undergraduate assistant under the guidance of grad student, Lara Ionescu. Greg has worked on biodegradable polymer microspheres for the delivery of growth factors and has also investigated the integration properties of meniscus tissue with the electrospun scaffolds. Greg recently began his independent study project focusing on promoting meniscus fibrochondrocyte migration using chemotaxant agents. This project will also explore the possible relationship between migration and nuclear structure of the MFCs. Outside the lab, Greg is an amateur photographer and loves trying different types of food at the many restaurants Philly has to offer.
