Areas of Special Interest
Jay joined the lab in the fall of 2010 as an undergraduate assistant. He works with Su-Jin Heo in various projects involving scaffold fabrication, MSC incorporation, and the biomechanical effects of physical strain to a developing tissue. Recently, they have been focusing on understanding how cellular and subcellular changes occur in mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) in response to physical stimuli. Outside the lab, Jay enjoys traveling with his family, watching Japanese anime, playing table tennis and running 2 miles every day.
