Penn Center for Musculoskeletal Disorders

Affiliate Member Core Funding

PCMD Funds Available for Affiliate members.

Affiliate members are now eligible for financial and intellectual support for PCMD core use. Center facilities and intellectual guidance are available to learners at all levels (e.g., faculty, trainees, staff) at other institutions. To a large extent, this effort is to provide increased opportunities to engage investigators at affiliate institutions (defined broadly) that do not have extensive resources supporting musculoskeletal research.

All potential requests for support should start with an email to either a Core Director/s (see list below) or to Lou Soslowsky at soslowsk@upenn.edu to discuss your needs. Following this, please complete the proposal from below providing the background, objectives/hypotheses, brief methods, expected outcomes/deliverables, and budget. Budgets could include personnel time, equipment time, reagents, etc., to support the proposal's goals.

The proposals will be reviewed in a rolling fashion by our Executive Committee which meets monthly. Approval will be based on high scientific merit and impact and consistent with available funding.

- Name of PI (must be a PCMD affiliate member)
- Title of Project Request
- Specific Purpose of Request with Stated Outcome/Goal.

Funding through this mechanism is available by completing the proposal form below ONLY after your consultation with one of the Core Directors or Lou Soslowsky. If you have any questions or comments, please contact us at pcmd@pennmedicine.upenn.edu.
