The University of Pennsylvania and the Perelman School of Medicine’s policies and guidelines are subject to review and change. Hyperlinks embedded within each policy are updated as frequently as possible.

Review and updates are typically completed annually, but there may be instances in which new policies or updates are required during the academic year. Please check this website to confirm policies and requirements in effect at a given time.

With few exceptions, newly updated or implemented policies are effective immediately and apply to all enrolled students. Occasionally, a new or updated policy may apply only to those who matriculate after it has taken effect.
