Description: Clinical postdoctoral fellows will receive training, education, and clinical experience in the provision of LGBTQ+ affirming psychotherapy. Therapists of any theoretical orientation are encouraged to apply, though supervision will from Dr. Elizabeth Kingfield whose theoretical orientation is feminist/multicultural. Specific learning opportunities include co-facilitating the LGBTQ+ DBT Skills group and writing letters of support for gender affirming surgery. The OPC is a general outpatient center offering mental health services to a diverse population of patients in the Philadelphia community, including patients with CBH (Medicaid) and Penn employee insurance.

Responsibilities: On average the postdoctoral fellow will spend 26 hours delivering clinical care (assessment and therapy). The remaining time will be dedicated towards supervision, education, and administrative duties. As a Penn Psychiatry Fellow, there will be opportunities to participate in department didactics and attending grand rounds seminars. On a case-by-case basis, the postdoctoral fellow will have the opportunity to provided tiered supervision.
