Paul Burkat, M.D., PhD, Associate Medical Director of Outpatient Psychiatry, Advance Practice Provider and Nursing Services
Associate Professor of Clinical Psychiatry
Dr. Burkat is a general adult Psychiatrist with additional certification in Addiction Medicine. He focuses primarily on the psychopharmacological management of mood, anxiety, and psychosis disorders. His research interest includes physiologically based pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic modeling of medications in clinical use and compounds associated with addiction. He is a member of the Society for Neuroscience, American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics, and the American College of Clinical Pharmacology.
