Additional Requirements for Adjunct, Visiting, & Wistar Appointments and Promotions
Chair's Recommendation Letters for Appointment and Promotion must indicate:
The candidate’s anticipated role in the Perelman School of Medicine
The candidate's time commitment to the role
How the candidate’s services are essential to the mission of the department and PSOM (e.g. Teaching, Clinical, and/or Research)
Documentation to support the level of appointment
For candidates who are leaving a full-time faculty appointment at Penn and are being proposed for an Adjunct appointment, a Termination Form and resignation letter must be submitted to OAA prior to submitting the dossier for the Adjunct case.
