Faculty Newsletter Guide
The Faculty Announcements newsletter is a weekly roundup of research funding opportunities, school news, and events, designed to convey announcements to faculty in a convenient format.
Accessing the Submission Form
A link to the Faculty Announcements online submission form (https://facnews.med.upenn.edu/submit) can be found at My.Med. It can be accessed with your PennKey login.
Submissions entered in this form will be reviewed, approved and added to an upcoming Faculty Announcements newsletter.
Submission Deadline
The newsletter is currently being published once a week on Thursday. All submissions entered by 5 p.m. Tuesday will be reviewed for publication in that week’s Thursday newsletter. Submissions received after 5 p.m. Tuesday will be reviewed for the following week.

A Note on Submissions and Submission Categories
Submissions should be of school-wide interest. The newsletter compiles announcements that were formerly forwarded to PSOM faculty separately throughout the day via the SOM-FAC ANNOUNCE mailing list.
Submission Categories
- Research Funding – Announcements about research funding and grant-related opportunities.
- Announcements and Events – General interest/other announcements.
- Seminars, Lectures and Symposiums – Announcements about research presentations, talks, and meetings.
- Professional Development – Announcements about faculty professional development and CME opportunities.
Published Newsletter Format
Here is how your announcement will appear on the front page of the newsletter. Each announcement is displayed in a white box under the appropriate Submission Category. The Title content appears as a headline (e.g., “Penn Health-Tech Grant Opportunity”) with the Tagline or brief summary content printed underneath. The Read More button takes readers to the content entered in the Body Copy field.
